One of the biggest concerns of any workplace is the health and safety of employees. If you are in charge of health and safety in environments such as construction sites, laboratories or road works sites, you will be aware of the importance of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times – that’s clothing designed to prevent accidents and injury. In fact, it is a legal requirement to provide adequate staff equipment such as eyewear, as well as erecting mandatory signs to warn staff of what to wear and areas in which they should wear it.
These mandatory signs display a clear message stating that ‘eye protection must be worn’, indicating areas where there is a potential danger to sight, should eyes remain unprotected. The information signs conform to the Health and Safety Signs and Signals regulations, which state that all mandatory signs must have a blue circular background displaying a white pictogram and text. These eye-catching eye protection signs can be easily positioned around your workplace as necessary, and come in a range of sizes to suit your requirements and to fit into any space.
You can choose from three different materials for your signs – either a polypropylene rigid plastic, a self-adhesive rigid plastic or a self-adhesive vinyl. The two self-adhesive signs do not require any fixtures or fittings; simply peel off the back layers to reveal a sticky surface, and place firmly against flat and dry surfaces such as doors or walls. For more irregular surfaces, such as posts and fences, our non-adhesive version can be fixed into position using universal fittings.
Our eye protection signage conforms to current UK and EU legislation about health and safety in the workplace, so you can rest assured you are fulfilling your duties as a responsible employer.
